Matching your codecs It seems that every manufacturer of digital video cameras uses a different video codec to encode their data. If you only ever use one camera, then it won't be a problem, but as you upgrade or add cameras to your kit, the odds are that you will have to work out how to manage the different codecs when it comes to editing.
